Research Interests:
1) Embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells, and their differentiation towards neuronal or glial lineages for regenerative medicine; and 2) Molecular mechanisms of nervous system development and disease, with an emphasis on signal transduction pathways of neuronal and glial cell death, and excitotoxic, oxidative and inflammatory forms of injury to the developing brain.
